The Challenge
Our client is a direct-to-consumer blanket company specializing in numerous sizes of throw blankets. Their business initially relied on pop-ups in big box stores to drive brand awareness and sales, so they had to pivot aggressively when COVID hit. They came to Purebred to create a new digital strategy to drive sales online, which relied primarily on SEO for new customer acquisition.

Throw blankets are such a mass-market product that the competition is exceptionally steep.
Our strategy focused on long-tail, descriptive keywords for which most big box competitors aren’t optimized. We built a new eCommerce website optimized for SEO and executed a very tactical link-building campaign focused on specific product and category pages while writing new content to increase our rankings opportunities for new keyword phrases.
We also took over their email marketing and added segmentation and automation, which they didn’t utilize prior to working with us.
